THERE WILL BE A LIGHT
THERE WILL BE A LIGHT
My lived experience with perinatal mental health informs my practice as a professional, and I’m dedicated to helping you navigate the complexities of motherhood. Whether you're struggling with identity, body image, birth trauma, postnatal adjustment, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, fertility struggles or pregnancy complications, I’m here to provide compassionate support and guidance. I bring a down-to-earth approach, blending lived experience with professional training giving me a unique perspective on the challenges that come with parenthood. I believe in creating a space where you can feel seen, heard, and understood as you work through these transitions and difficulties. Through my work—whether it’s in one-on-one sessions, advocacy, or my podcast—I strive to help families build stronger connections with themselves and others, and embrace the unpredictability and complexity that comes with parenthood. I believe in holistic care that acknowledges not only the individual but the family unit as a whole, ensuring safety and support for everyone along the way.
When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll probably find me chasing adventure, spending time with my family, indulging in chocolate (my guilty pleasure), or getting my Pilates fix. I love connecting with people from all walks of life and having those deep, genuine conversations that bond us as humans.
I believe in treating the whole person, not just the problem. That’s why I focus on understanding each client’s unique story and tailoring therapy to their needs. Sometimes, that means working as part of a larger team to ensure the best possible care. My approach is grounded in compassion and collaboration, using evidence-based therapies like Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT). My aim is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel understood, so together we can tackle life’s challenges and help you move toward the mental wellness you deserve.
